I Love the internet. Seems like everything can be done online now. We tell friends Happy Birthday on Facebook, Shop online, Pay Bills, and connect with friends and family through the emails & chats. I honestly send less and less greeting cards each year. Because of this, I really wanted to participate in the Hallmark Card it Forward Challenge.

The Challenge is to send 7 cards to 7 people in a week. With each card, you also provide them with a blank one so that they can send it to someone special in their lives. It starts a chain of good vibes & gives everyone the opportunity to connect with loved ones!

Hallmark sent me a bundle of beautiful cards! Some funny,  a couple that play music, and a few that will have you reach for the tissues.

So I began my mission. I left a card (+ a blank one) for my mother, our preacher, my aunt, my kids, and mailed one to my sister and cousin. At the beginning I thought it would be difficult to find seven people that I wanted to "card" but once I started I realized there are a lot more special people in my life that I could connect with this way!  I hid the cards in in a drawer, on a desk, & in backpacks. It was fun and I got several phone calls to tell me how much it meant to them and made them smile. The best part is they each got an awesome Hallmark Card to send too!

Overall, it really meant a lot to everyone to receive an actual card. All of the responses were so wonderful! I was told how much it meant to them to actually find a beautiful card with a special message. The internet is still a great way to connect, but it can't replace the feeling you get from opening a personal card. I will definitely be sending more cards in 2014!

Hallmark is also offering my readers 30% off on Hallmark.com! Just use the code BLOG30. And don't forget to enter below to win a card pack of your own from Hallmark! If you are familiar with the brand (I think everyone is!) you know these are high quality greeting cards.
